Question New Website cPanel

Hello All~

I've registered my 4 domain names and am hosting them with Hostgator. I need to access the new site's cPanels in order to create the databases for the wp Install. How do I do that? I have one site with something else I'm doing that's hosted through Hostgator. Do I add these new sites on to my other site as an 'Addon Domain'? It sound so confusing?

Your advice please,
Jenise

Default hello

I have a question for you. Are you using the reseller account with hostgator. if you are, go back and do a search through this forum and you'll see how to add your other domains to that account. I did a very long procedure and posted in the forum so you should be able to find it.
I hope that helps,
Steve

Sounds like you can do an add-on. In cPanel, there is an ad-on icon. It wants the domain name, then the dir where you want the add-on dir to go under public_html, and then a password. For example

Domaim name: genealogy.com
Dir: genealogy
Password: some password

then you upload Wordpress into that add-on dir (genealogy)and it becomes you new domain/website.

Hi Steve -

This is going to sound really bad but I don't know if I do have a reseller acct. I got the cheapest on that would allow me to have unlimited domains. I figured it out by the way. Thanks so much for answering my question.

Sounds like you are just going to have one cpanel and then you are going to have add on domains. So what you will do is just use the add on feature in the cpanel for the other domains you signed up for.
