Talking URL in Affiliate Button

Hi,

I created an affiliate button using Photoshop.

It looked OK so I added it to my blog.

However, when I clicked on it, I was sent to a completely different URL than the affiliate URL.

Is there a statement in the action script that sets the URL?

How can I change it to make it go to the right place?

Walt,

If you display the code that you pasted, and then where the affiliate link should be pointing to then I'll be able to help.

It could be that you mistyped the URL when you set it up.

Hi Nick,

I used the action code out of the box from the 90dc. I am not a Photoshop expert, but I did get the action script into photoshop.

I don't remember being asked for an URL. I don't know how the URL got in there. It was completely unrelated to the image I scraped off with photoshop and I think I followed the instructions correctly.

Does a statement in the Action script pick up a random URL?

Walt,

Don't know what you are talking about with action script on 90dc box. I've never seen that - hate scripting always have, lol!

Here is what I would do - take the pic and throw it in your online folder, then just put an img src link and the a href link encapsulating it and then it will point to the afil URL you want to.

Hey Guys,

Nothing in the scripting. But it is in the wordpress code.

The sidebar code in the theme manually links to an example site. If you go to Presentation then edit your theme.

Find where the image is and then just replace the link there with where you would like to link too.

Regards
Marc

Thanks Marc,

I will look in the Sidebar.php code. I'm not too good at php, but I can find my way around html.

Walt, it is html that you need to change, not php. It may be a .php file, but the source code you need to change is html.

Walt,

Post what affiliate URL you have and the name of the gif/jpg file and I'll post for you what you need to do.
