Angry Who Else Is Frustrated By Installer?

I can't get installer to work.

Been trying for 4 days, maybe three - it's made me so dizzy I can't think straight.

I have run out of combinations.

I opted for free PLRPro because I couldn't get Installer to work with another host, midPhase.

I am still waiting to hear from support...waiting and waiting...long days journey into night...

Never mind.

It works now.
I switched to Slimbrowser from Firefox.

Came right up in Slimbrowser...

This should be included in the video - would have saved me about three weeks of frustration.

Are you listening, Daniel and Marc?

Kudos to Hyman who gave me the tip to change browsers.

Thanks again. Hyman. You hit the nail on the head.

Hey Cobwab,

does anyone actually know why its not working in Firefox currently?

We do not seem to have an issue with it, but I would be curious if anyone has worked out why it works in slimbrowser and not in firefox (those having issues)

If you have any light to shed pls let me know.

Thanks
Marc

Marc,

It may have something to do with passing the db name into Firefox. I kept getting a WP "Cant select the badbreathadvisor db", but that was not the name of my db in cpanel. It was more like my domain name without the hyphens and .com(bad-breath-advisor.com)

Slimbrowser got it right and it did create my blog, but I am still unable to get to the cp dashboard because wp_admin doesn't seem to be set up. Installer keeps giving me this error message: Warning ftp_mkdir() (function.ftp.mkdir): Cant create directory: "File exists in /home/wwwplr/public_html/wp/user/index.php on line 53"

Fooey!

I tried deleting the db and re-installing, and again, it created my blog, but I am still missing wp_admin.

How do I fix that?

Do I create that file in cpanel, but under what dir.

Or can I do it in Installer, under public_html?

Disregard Last post

I am able to access Dashboard via wp-admin.

Whoopee!

I was using wrong string to access Dashboard. Should have used (http://www.bad-breath-advisor.com/blog/ad-admin/).

I forgot "blog".

I can now start the 90DC.

Whew! That was a challenge in and of itself.
