Hello gang, I wanted to discuss with you about WordPress Datafeed Import Script. First you should checkout the demonstration video here. This script can post scheduled affiliate product datafeeds on your blog which means once you import specific amount of products to script and set it to post every X amount of time, you will have fresh content added to your blog and can focus on other activites. I don't know if this script can write and post on regular pages. This is website of the script: Affiliate Marketing Script -WordPress Data Feed Import What do you think of it?

So what's the difference between this script, Neil Shearing's script and the csv2rss script over on the warrior forum? All 3 import a df over a given time, and the csv2rss script also imports articles. I don't think it (csv) is able to import into categories but the other 2 do. Webnut

I know very little about Neil Shearing's script actually. Rss2Blog can import Rss feed and datafeed too if you format input file correctly. Yet i am curious if there is such script that allows to create pages with affiliate products and not regular blog posts. Since WordPress has "time stamp" option, you can create many affiliate product posts beforehand and schedule them for later posting so you don't really need datafeed scripts unless you want to fully automate process and just set&forget it... Where can i get more information on Neil Shearing's script and how much is his script?

The problem with Neil's script is it's quite fiddly to use (especially if you don't understand excel) & it doesn't post pages but posts. Also although you can check the feed has imported ok before approving it, once it's there and you find a problem, eg the cron hasn't worked properly and the posts have all come in together, you have to either delete the whole blog and do it again or use wp suicide (which didn't actually work for me when I tried it) Having said that, Neil is pretty good at responding to the support questions and he's writing a pdf about manipulating datafeeds within excel. But his programme doesn't import articles whereas the csv2rss does although once again, I'm not sure that it imports pages. What I did was use Neil's programme and wparticle-uploader to put in the articles seperately. I don't know of any programme that imports to pages but that's not to say there isn't one. The csv2rss script is available in Warrior special offers - it was $47 but maybe more now. It's much easier to use than the other programme. Webnut
