Question Multiple Accounts for LinkExchange.net???

So I am up to the point of link exchanges and article submissions. Do I need a separate account for each website, as it asks your site URL at registration?

This is so much fun...but I have been putting this off, because as they say a confused mind does nothing...but I am ready now to move forward and jump in the deep end.

Let me know about multiple accounts...I want to assume that one account for all sites is the way to go, since some folks have upwards of 100 sites but we know what ASS.U.Me.ing can do.

Hi,

Yes, one account, but you are going to get a lot of emails so you might want to setup some gmail accounts to handle the emails you get back from the dir submitters.

Hi,

I would like to ask how you put up multiple domain names with one account at linkmarket.com. I can't see a way to ad extra domain onto my account over there.

Thnx in advance,
Michel

HI Michel,

You need to create some alias accounts. I use gmail and make up names that sound like my domain name, eg, Skinner20 for a skin care site. Or Dicalux for acid reflux which is sort of acid reflux backwards.

Cool Confusion sets in

I know this is not rocket science, so I apologize for being dense here....

So is it this?

or this?

Do you make alias accounts under one main account?

Thanks...maybe in the wonderful and extensive 90 Day manual and video materials this little item can be covered in the future, so that all newbies have this answer for reference. Or have I over looked it somewhere?

Hi CobWab,

Okay, if I understand you correct you create an account per domain at linkmarket each with an other e-mail adres. That's what we do also.

So Rebecca, for each domain you create a new account at linkmarket for link exchanges. We use an e-mail adres from each domain we create but like CobWab does, you could also create multiple gmail accounts.

Thnx for clearing this up CobWab.

SeeYa,
Michel

Default linkmarket stinks, peeyou

Hello,
You will be very lucky to get links that are in your niche if that is what you are trying to do. Now this is if you are going to do the free one. Me personally, I will take all the links once I check out the site and see that it is ok. You can only submit 5 request per day too, just so you know. You will see what I mean. Why don't you do some blog commenting, directory submissions, etc.....
Better links for sure.
Steve

Hi Steve,

Your absolutely right, don't be to picky about the sites you link to. The question was if you have to set up an account for every domain if I'm correct. That you have to do at linkmarket because you are only allowed 1 domain per account.

And yes again your correct when you say to use directories and blog commenting for getting links also. I use the search status plugin in firefox to see if a blog uses "no follow" tags on their comment sections.

All good advice here, thnx Steve and CobWab

SeeYa,
Michel

Thanks for your input folks this has been helpful.

So what it seems I am hearing is that instead of doing link exchange via that site, I really should find relevant blogs or sites and comment and leave my website on there. Or request links personally from the site owner.

Steve, I plan on linking to your sites via your other thread that is offering us that opportunity.

My question is if it is of more value to link via this social networking aspect, why is it recommended to do it via Link Exchange networks...?

I know that now I sound like the little kid that keeps asking "But Why...." but I am interested in knowing where my time is best spent, because I have limited time and I want the best bang for my time investment.
