I find this a really good tool...but I also find that even when I completely rewrite an article I find it hard to get it over 70% different...which is interesting. I also tried two pieces written by different people in a similar topic in Dupecop and got 68% or so different...

However, it's still a good tool Just be aware that your rewritten article, even extensively rewritten may not show as much difference as you'd expect!

Yeah I found that with Dupecop also.

It will only ever give you 70% unique.

We had our own tool built in house which is much better and used for the bulk checking of all articles to make sure our writers aren't corss pollinating information.

Its an awesome awesome tool. It checks every article in the pack against every other article in the pack in about 10 seconds, then spits out a report telling me the percentage unique each article is.

Not good for single rewrites though as it is a batch file and runs on bulk files.

Regards
Marc

Because of the way it compares, it's all but impossible to get 100% unique. Remember that it's not a piece of artificial intelligence. It's just a slightly-more-than-simple comparison tool. It uses unique words and phrases to determine the percentage.

By the way, we also have a bulk comparison tool (DupeCop Spun) that you can use if you are spinning your articles into multiple variations, which uses the same algorithm as DupeCop.

Thanks for this. I've been using http://copyscape.com. I'm interested to try out dupecop and compare.
