Hi,

The Champ uses Irfanview.

Gimp is a Photoshop clone, free, runs on Mac or PC.

Hi Mike,

Just a tip, and I would like comments if this is wrong, we try and find affiliates with banners of 125 x 125. Tha's a nice size. We replace the wedding button with the affiliate code which shows that banner.

To make a bit more complex we have an ad server running which rotates that banner with other affliate banners so we can do some cross testing in the future, but maybe that's a bit to advanced and a problem if your on a shared server.

So my tip is if you want to replace the wedding button, and you do if your not running a wedding site and you're not an affiliate of that product, just replace it with an affiliate banner (125 x 125) of your own merchant.

Take look here Brewing Your Own you'll see that in the spot that after install holds the wedding button we have brewing related banners rotating.

Just my 5 cents.

SeeYa,
Michel

Hi Mike,

Which picture do you mean? Under recommended?

We just put it in the same spot that the wedding button used to be. Put the affiliate code for the banner you want to show (we use 125 x 125) in that same spot.

Hope that helps you otherwise let me know.

SeeYa,
Michel

Hi Michael,

Thanks for replying.

Yeah I meant originally the wedding description button that we get in the template. I assume we edit that from the source code on the page, i.e. replace it with new, banner code from the merchant site. I'm not very good with code so I don't want to take out the wrong stuff. But willing to learn.

Secondly I meant the images of the products you are promoting, you have them placed in the body of your article.

Cheers Mike

Yep replace it with the banner code from the merchant.

When we use merchant banner or product code we put it in via the HTML box in the editor. If it's just an image you would need to create a directory in your root folder of the blog, upload the image to that dir and in the wordpress editor then insert the image via the button and at the url part fill in "http://www.yourblog.com/images/name-of-image.jpg"

I hope this helps in any way.

SeeYa,
Michel
