Hi Sharon

This may help you

This is my html school

http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_links.asp

Check out

The Anchor Tag and the Href Attribute

and

The Target Attribute

The target attribute is the link that will open in a new window, that one you use when you don't want them to leave your website.

Thank you very much....is it difficult to learn?
Do you have to include the html code in the author box or can it be left out?
What is the advantages?
I notice that the other main five directories do not have this?
Thanks again Carm,
Sharon

Hi Sharon,

The difference when you use the html code in the resource box is this is what wil be seen
no code
a URL http://www.yourdomainname.com/blog/n...reatarticle=24

this link will take them to page on your site

whereas with the html code
your great article
they would only see

your great article

That way you can put two links in your resource box, one to your main site and one to another page. It allows the resource box to read,

"Visit Your Domain Title and get more fantastic information about your great article blah de blah blah blah

Some directories will allow you three links, most are two though so I keep mine all at two.

Most article directories will allow the html codes. Visit one of the article directories and take a look at a few articles to see how others are doing their resource boxes, (they'll read a little better that my example above) . The highlighted text will be their html codes.

Also it is very important to use the html code where you can and gain those on-topic anchor text's.

This will make a HUGE difference and it is extremely important.

So if you need a hand post it, and we'll get it sorted out, I will also add a template into the 90 day challenge that members can copy.

Thanks
Marc
