Default Keyword Stats, some advice needed please

Hi,

I posted this in another thread that may not have been in thr right place, so am posting here instead...

Have recently joined, and have just downloaded my first pack of articles and keywords. Can someone please clarify the monthly search volume stats for me, ie: does 0.50 for January mean 50 searches, 5 searches, half a search ??!!??

Thanks in advance

Simon

Are you looking at the "Google KEI" category? If so, that is a breakdown of keyword popularity/competitiveness.

You can see the full definition of KEI here:
Keyword Effectiveness Index (KEI) Explained

Hi,

No, its not the KEI, its the "Avg search volume" in a .xls file in one of the niche packs. Its a spreadsheet with a lot of lsi phrases in it, and it gives a breakdown of search volumes by month as well, so for example, May 0.44, June .60, so any idea what these mean exactly??

Thanks

Not sure if this is what you want but maybe it is.

Thanks guys ,

Yes, it was sort of what I was after, it certainly helped anyway. The only thing is, I don't think the video explained the relevance of the search volumes, ie: should you go for higher figures, lower figures (as less competitive) or doesn't it really matter.

What do you guys do??

Thanks

Simon

Default follow the plan

The plan states to try and find keywords with the most searches with the least amount of competiton. This is what the plan states. Read over the plan again...

I am new to the ninety day challenge and was wondering what the search volume stats meant as well. I don't see any search, competition or KEI numbers in the keyword spreadsheets that came with my packs.

Thanks Steve, but the plan doesn't seem to refer to these "new" keyword stats and volume figures. Plus, the new packs don't contain and KEI or competition stats (that I can see) so am a bit confused.

I've only just joined so am not aware of how the niche packs used to be.

Any guidance on these new packs would be very much welcome

Thanks

Simon

Hi Simon,

Daniel mentioned in a recent email that there would be some training videos on the new keyword lists soon.

Regards,
Mario
