Should we be going to more than one place to get links?
At the moment all i am doing is going to link market.
Thanks for your help,
Sharon.

Hey again,

You can get a lot of 1-way backlinks from tag sites,
like Digg, Delicio.us, furl, and a ton of others.
Some don't pass page rank anymore, but you still get
links back.

To automate that, you can go to onlywire.com, set up
an account, and it will automatically post your articles
or blog posts to about 18 major bookmarking sites.

I'm about to set up a lense at Squidoo. If you're not
familiar with that one, you can get some basic info
free here: http://www.squidoosecrets.com/build/?yourlens=3272
That's an affiliate link, but like I said the basic
membership is free, unless you choose to upgrade.
Squidoo is immensely popular, extremely flexible,
and unlike MySpace, marketing is encouraged. It
does pass it's high page rank to you. So, all around,
a great place to get a little love from somebody out
there.

Wikipedia use to pass page rank, but they don't
anymore.
They got abused too much. A great shame, but
that's what happens when you abuse a good thing.

I also set up my own Tag Sites. The difference
between these and the 'big boys' is that these are
Niche Tag Sites.
So far I have these set up:

http://www.intensives.info/income/
http://www.intensives.info/cell-phone/
http://www.1001finds.info/IM/
http://www.1001finds.info/garden/
http://www.1001finds.info/home_schooling/
http://www.1001finds.info/perfume/

More to come. Everybody is welcome to
register and post links. Just stay loosely on topic.
Post as many links as you want.
Only one restriction: No Smut, hate and all that
nasty stuff. Keep in mind, no page rank yet, they're
new, you just get backlinks.

That should be enough to get you started, no?
I guess, be careful what you ask for.

Ursula

Default Hello Ursula

Hello Ursula,

Read your post and was wondering how the only wire works. I went out and registered for all the sites that it mentions.

Then do I go to post on onlywire???

What do I do, somewhat confused about this issue??
Title:
URL:
(space separate) Tags:
My Tags:
This is the stuff of the onlywire page.
Do I put the title of the article in the Title?
The url of the site?
and then the keyword phrases in the tags?

thanks for the help
Steve

Hey Steve,

I will be looking into onlywire either today or tomorrow so hopefully I can get a good grasp of it for all members.

Regards
Marc

Ursula,

I also use OnlyWire and Squidoo, and have had good success with them. However, you lost me on the Tag sites. I looked at the links you provided, and am I right that you created your own bookmarking sites, like Digg or Furl? If so, would you mind providing more detail on how you did this?

Thanks,

Chris
