Lost my adsense ads

I am in the process of getting my first site up and the wordpress install completed. I first installed it in one directory but then reinstalled it in the root directory. The first install had my adsense ads but after the reinstall I do not have any ads. Any idea what I can check for? I am pretty new at this.

Here is the problem I had:
When I did the install, there was a default pub-id included which did display the adsense ads. When I inserted my pub-id (I did a copy and paste directly from my google account) no ads were displayed. After some trial and error, I built a new adsense code snippet from the google page and pasted the whole thing into my install and the ads started showing up. Not sure why.

Bob, yup - looks like google will be moving over to the code that is generated by them for each 'campaign' in the future - just have to wait and see when this happens.
