Default Low Hanging Keyword "tie in" clarification...

Hi Guys,

As written in the daily guides, you suggest selecting
a low hanging KW to "tie in" to a chosen article. Even
upon watching the video this remains unclear.

Is your suggestion to "add" this keyword to the article,
in addition to the primary KW that the article was written for...
or to replace the primary KW?

And, upon the add and/or replace of the original KW, is it your suggestion to "not" rewrite the original article that is focused on the higher competition KW and use that on site?

An example just for clarification because I'm confusing myself as I wrote this...

Original PLRPro article written for keyword: "Blue Widgets"
Rewrite 25% or more and we retain an article on Blue Widgets.

Low hanging KW: "best outdoor blue widget systems"
Rewrite article replacing focus of article on 'Blue widgets' with
focus on: 'best outdoor blue widget systems'.

Now we've got two articles that are really quite similar even with
a good rewrite.

The original (that has been rewritten) and the new article that has also been rewritten but now has the focus on the low hang KW added and/or replaced.

Here's the clarification issue: Do we have two article to use or just one?

If your suggestion is to add in (or in your words "tie in") the low hang, which is how it reads in the daily guides, I've really only got one article. Do we then abandon the original article due to the higher competition or do we also place that article on site as well?

I guess this is more pronounced with a WP Blog. Do we want to have one post on Blue Widgets and a second post on 'best outdoor blue widget systems' ? They are both derived from the same article so, there is certainly going to be some overlap and similarity.

Just in terms of time allocation... Is there benefit to rewriting
the original article and then rewriting "again" to accommodate the
low hang KW? It is twice the amount of time, so before I spend the time, I'd appreciate the clarification based on your experiences.

Thanks in advance,

Sam

Great questions Sam,

I would also like to add one. Does it matter if we change the order of the long tail keyword phrases or does that change the search results standings.

e.g. If I had a keyword "blue widgets" and the long tail KW is something that doesn't read well like "blue review fancy widgets", can we change it to read "fancy blue widgets review"?

Would this change it's effectiveness? I thought maybe that the Longtail KWs only give the results if entered exactly as written?

Hope someone can answer all Sams questions and this one too.

Thanks
Brenda

Yes this is what we mean, as long as it is still in context to what you are talking about.

You dont have to use the keyword exactly as it appears, so if it comes through as "blue widgets outdoors" you could change it to "outdoor blue widgets" if that made more sense to do so.

Also if the article has nothing to do with the long tail, then dont do it, but you can almost always find a long tail for it.

What I would reccomend is changing the wording in places slightly to move it towards the long tail. So you dont even need to fully replace the keyword, but you can incoporate parts of the article to be on topic with the long tail keyword.

And definately change the post title to include the long-tail.

Regards
Marc
