Default New PLRPro Wordpress Installer - ITS HERE

Hey Guys,

I have not released this to the list yet since I would like a few veterans to give it a shot first, and also those that have been having issues with the first installer.

I have updated everything to the latest wordpress install, including the plugins.

Also I modified the template slightly (placement of adsense) there is now a block within the posts as default.

The Adsense channels were removed from the installer since Google changed the way the code is, so there will have to be videos to follow that show you how to grab your code from google and put it into the Adsense Deluxe plugin.

But that is not a difficult thing.

PLEASE WATCH ALL VIDEOS - THERE IS A VIDEO LINK NEXT TO EACH MAIN SECTION, 4 IN TOTAL

The process has changed slightly and is much more error resistant. The details must be 100% correct or it is impossible to do an install.

This should limit quite a few user errors.

Wordpress 2.3 Blog Installer - PLRPro Installer

Please test it out and let me know how you go.

Thanks
Marc

Thumbs up Thanks Mark

Appreciate your efforts to make our business more convenient Mark.

It is said that WordPress 2.3.3 is an urgent security release. If you have registration enabled, a flaw was found in the XML-RPC implementation such that a specially crafted request would allow a user to edit posts of other users on that blog. In addition to fixing this security flaw, 2.3.3 fixes a few minor bugs.

I wonder if somebody can access my WordPress 2.0.2 and edit something or is it that he can only edit other user's posts?

Doesn't matter as we now have updated installer.

What i don't like with WordPress 2.3 is that in FireFox it says that i have cookies disabled so very often i cannot login to administration panel.

Thumbs down New wp installer got stuck on db login

Hi Marc,
I tried to use the new version of the installer for wp2.3 over the weekend but it got stuck (i.e says
Could not connect, check username details and database details" )on the second verification check (database details) where it checks for your database name, login and password.

I re-verified everything and retried the installer a day later to no avail and ended up succesfully doing the install with the current wp installer. "the one already released".

P.s. will the new installer be for wp2.5 which has the security flaw corrected.
Cheers
Rafaga

Hi Marc
Thought I'd get a move on with my next site since you were looking for feedback.

I put in ftp host name, username and ftp password but it wouldn't connect.

Tried the old version and it wouldn't connect either?

Any idea why this is?

Thanks
Hailey
