Default New Template

Hi Guys,

I don't know if this has been posted before but Dewald the legend him self has made a modified version of the 90 Day Challenge template for people to use.

Quote:
Hey guys,

I modified Marc's WordPress theme and made it into a sidebar on the left with only one column. And I've added a few additional on-page SEO tweaks, including eliminating a lot of duplicate blog content indexing.

It also comes with the code already included to work with my free WordPress plugin. (It also works perfectly without my plugin, which just adds more on-page SEO power.)

Even though the sidebar displays on the left side of the screen, the search engines will first read the right hand content with your posts, then they will read the content of the sidebar. This is important SEO stuff. I moved the sidebar to the left with CSS, and not by physically moving it in the code of the webpage.

So, you get your Recommended graphic and link in the prime spot for the human eye, top left corner of the content.

This will give you some variation between your different blogs, so that every blog does not look the same.

In the CSS stylesheet, I've pulled all the color related styles to the top of the file so that it is easier to change the color scheme of your blog. Yet another way to make your blogs look a little different from each other.

There is one less AdSense ad unit on the page. This theme has one leaderboard ad underneath the wide site graphic, and one rectangle ad in the post below the post content. (I moved the leaderboard ad to inbetween the graphic and the menu. Some people are cock-eyed, so they aim to click on a menu item, mis-click it and then click on your Google ad. Oops, 50 cents in your pocket.)

With this theme, you simply disable the AdSense plugin to not show your AdSense ads. You don't have to edit the theme files. Disabling the AdSense plugin does not break the code.

Would someone be so kind to post a link to this post on the 90-Day forums, please?

One condition of use: please leave the credits in the footer (including hyperlinks) intact. I included a link back to my blog alongside the other two credits links, which is not unfair seeing that you get this theme for nada.

Oh, yes, the ZIP file is attached to this post.

To your success!

Best regards,

Dewald

It will be included with the installer by end of today.

So all you should need to do is change the template you wish to use, and click activate.

I'll check it out a little later for compatibility but I am sure Dewald has done a great job on it.

Regards
Marc
