Default Picking a domain name

Hey guys,

I don't have much experience building webpages or setting up blogs. How are you picking the domain name that you want for the website? Are you basing it on keywords? or are you just using something that goes with the niche?

Thanks for you input.

Default I guess you could say both

Hello,

What I do is I use google labs and start putting in my keywords and see what some of the searches are. How much compitition, etc. I have read that it is important to have the search term in the url. At the 90 day challenge they prefer to not use "-" between the words.

I am still somewhat on the ify side about this subject.

But use the google labs, it is a great tool.

I hope that link works for you. Just start typing the word in the search bar and then you will see the other terms and search volume under the box.

I hope that helps,
Steve

As for finding a good domain name i use Deleted Domain Search . You enter the keyword you are after and it can list recenly expired domain names aswell as soon to expire domain names. Just scroll though the list and take whatever tickles your fancy.

It can be very slow to look up and some of the pending delete domains have already been re-registered but still better the nothing.
