Default Questions re. Rules

Hello there

Just a couple of questions regarding the rules . . .

Are there any restrictions on what we can outsource?

Are there any restrictions on where we get traffic from? For example,
can sites not part of the 90 day be used to drive traffic to "the 12"? Could people use PPC if they wanted to?

Is it gross or net income we will be measuring?

Thanks a bunch
Gillian

Default More question about rules

Good questions gillian.

I have a few more.

Can we use content other than PLRPro articles?

Is use of the WP blog mandatory or can we build different types of sites?

Can we generate income from any source; e.g. Adsense, affiliate programs, own products, etc.?

What proof will be required to verify income?

Default More questions

I have some more similar questions -

when you say "income from the sites" does that include income generated from any lists we grow as a result of opt-ins on the sites and sales we make to them?

Likewise if we use these blog sites to drive traffic to other sites we have in VRE networks on the same theme, can we count that income if we can definitively track its source?

or is this a KISS contest (which keeps things simple) I hope.

Can we do SEO beyond what you recommend? Can we modify the sites?

I will confirm a couple of these questions with Dan and modify as needed.

As for the sites, yes you can do more then what is reccomended on the sites, this is just the minimum we suggest.

Income includes anything you are advertising on the site, affiliate programs, adsense, cpa. This also includes from any lists you build on that site.

Wildmind, we are trying to keep this a KISS contents so to say, we will clarify a few things later.

William yes you can use other content other then PLRPro articles, especially since we advicate that you write alot of your own content also for affiliate reviews and amazon products.

Gillian awesome questions, I will have to speak with Dan regarding those, as we want to make it something that everyone can participate in relitively fairly.

Also remember, only 50% of the competition is based on income, the other will be based on the individual and a write up we receive from each contestant.

Regards
Marc

Default Further thoughts on Rules

Hi Marc

Thanks for your reponse. Just wanted to add a couple of comments you might want to think about when talking to Daniel.

I agree it's important that we all start on a level playing field so the simpler the process the better.

Also, as I mentioned, I've been playing around with internet marketing for years now without a great deal of success. I have a lot of knowledge but, like 1000s of others, lack focus and a good system. Actually, that's not true. I know many systems. And I also know that anyone of them would be a success if only I applied them from beginning to end without being distracted.

So for people like myself I think the less we are "allowed" to do outside of the simple steps you have laid down in the 90 day plan the better. The more leeway you give me the less focussed I am likely to become and the less chance of success.

If I can actually get through all the steps in the 90 days that will be a huge achievement in itself. And, hopefully, I'll finally have something solid to build upon.

So my vote is to keep it as simple as possible. Save me (and others I'm sure) from ourselves and all the fancypants stuff we know how to do that distracts us from getting that solid base we need.

Cheers
Gillian

You sound exactly like me. I have a huge problem staying focused on anything.

But one thing I’m starting to learn is that money motivates me like nothing else. If I start making money on consistent bases then I know I will keep going. But the bad part is you need to be focused to start making money. There's always a catch.

I'm sure Marc and Dan will do their best to keep everyone on track and when you see everyone else doing well you will want to keep up or better still do even better.

Default Staying focused

I feel the same way about focus

If I can actually get through all the steps in the 90 days that will be a huge achievement in itself. And, hopefully, I'll finally have something solid to build upon.

But, I think with a directed plan and competition it will be easier.

Another question, when do we start? Do we start as soon as we register or will there be a 'gentleman start your motors' so we all start at the same time?

Hi robert and gillian

Same here for me... My issue has always been about focusing one strategy! With all the distractions out there, it is hard to be laser like focus.

Anyway, I am proud to say for the last 2 days I have been true to the plan.
I am gunning for the full 90 days and more.

And I think it would be even better if we set a goal and remind ourselves each day when we wake up. I am doing that right now and it is doing me alot of good!

Success to all!
Lesley

It's more of a case of when you are ready to start, you start, however, cut off date is 28th February.

Just to clarify on the original questions:

William:

Quote:
Can we use content other than PLRPro articles?
Yes, meaning writing your own, from other PLR sources, but to be eligible for this first 'challenge' you must keep your PLRPro membership

Quote:
Is use of the WP blog mandatory or can we build different types of sites?
Sure can, but the reason we recommend the WP Blog style and in our specific template, is because of all the preset SEO benefits (it's how we do our stuff so we know it works).

Quote:
Can we generate income from any source; e.g. Adsense, affiliate programs, own products, etc.?
Yep, basically what Marc said, anything goes... well... don't go selling Viagra spam or something

Quote:
What proof will be required to verify income?
This will be a 2 stage process, it'll be top 10 accepted on merit (i.e. what you send in to us) then those 10 will have a more indepth search (account checks and verification etc.)... if anyone lies, we'll pick it up, and the next person in line will take their place.

Gillian

Quote:
Are there any restrictions on what we can outsource?
No, you can outsource as much or as little as you want, but the main point of this 90 days is sticking to a system and generating results.

Quote:
Are there any restrictions on where we get traffic from?
There are no restrictions, but it's existing sites only, so you can't drive traffic from a current sites that's doing 100,000 uniques a month with a list of the same size.

This challenge I'm sure will present it's own challenges for us as well, as we refine the bugs (of the actual challenge not the plan), what rules need to be put in place etc.

Quote:
Is it gross or net income we will be measuring?
Gross (mainly because the ongoing expenses once they are setup are minimal).

The rest I think Marc has answered

Daniel
