adsense problem

I am downloading my first WP site and I fill in my adsense information on the upload page as instructed. However the adsense id that shows up on my pages is another id. When I update my adsense id all of the adsense disappears. Help. Thanks.

Copy and paste the code from your Adsense account setup, and it should work fine.

Thanks. That keyed me in to why there was no adsense showing up. I hadn't created the id's in my account so there was nothing in there for wordpress to read. Makes me wonder though, whose adsense id was being populated on my site? What a gig!

I replaced the pub-ID with mine in the 3 adsense block codes, and everything disappeared. There must be something more to this I'm missing. Maybe I'm supposed to do something more on Adsense first? I watched the video on changing it, but it only mentions changing the pub-id, which I did.

As suggested above, copy and paste the code from your Adsense account setup, and it should work fine.

Hi Srinivas,

Give it some time. Sometimes the ads do not show up immediately. It can range from few minutes to a few hours.
