Default HeadSpace2 for WordPress

Greetings everyone... I'm sorta the new guy around here.

I'm into day 9 of my 90 day plan, and things are progressing nicely. I do have 3 sites up and will be working #4 this Saturday along with starting the article posting stuff.

I just wanted to mention a great plugin I found for Word Press that some of you MIGHT want to use. It's called HeadSpace2. Great stuff!

One of the neat things you can do is set global options for all your posts in word press. Specifically TAGS. It will also let you define META tags such as Titles, and Descriptions site wide. Even has a few extra site modules you can turn on or off such as display a message to First Time Visitors. Slap a CALL TO ACTION right there with that. You can immediately tell the new visitor thanks for visiting your site and why not subscribe to your RSS feed right away. Or even better, while you're at it, tell them to check out your #1 affiliate link!

Other cool stuff is embed Google Analytics, HitTail, Google Section Targeted for adsense if you have a problem page not wanting to target google adsense to your content... etc.

Another cool one is CrazyEgg plugin with HeadSpace2. I haven't quite figured this one out, but get this, over time it analyzes your visitors and builds a Heat Map. What's a Heat Map? It shows you where people are clicking on your site. How powerful is that?

Right about now you're probably thinking what I get out of this? Nothing.. I'm just stoked about it. You can get it free by searching Word Press plugin site.

Enjoying it so far... look forward to posting more.

BTW, if anyone is interested in linking to my sites, let me know. I'm getting ready to hit the linking parts of the 90 day plan. lol

Billy

Billy,

Hi and congrats on getting your sites up.

I went to the Lumbar Pain cure site and it seems you've put a certain keyword in quite a few times. I'd be conscious not to use a main keyword and also in my opinion the keyword is too dense in the text, meaning it appears too many times.

Also, I'd probably be very cautious of the link bar you use at the bottom of your blog, as this could violate Google's Terms as the link text is the same colour and the design is similar to google adsense ads.

Haven't heard of Headspace2 before, but I'll go check it out. Heatmap is a cool tool to see where everyone is clicking and it can be quite surprising.

Also (totally my opinion as a user), I think you're trying to over monetize the site. Yes, we all want users to click on a link that will make us money, but coming to your site, with lots of the keywords linked to an affiliate product, it appears a bit 'dodgy'.

nasph:

Thanks for the input. Most all of those articles are PLRPro content, so I'm not sure on the keyword being overdense. Maybe because I used the SH-Autolink that Marc and Daniel suggested it just "highlites" that keyword way too much.

I could always turn it off and see.

I'm curious also about the bar at the bottom. The system I got it from says it is completely safe with Google Adsense. Maybe I should change the layout on it?

The blog currently ranks on first page for one of my long tail keywords.... so I don't want to jeopardize anything.

Bill,

Have a good re-read of the 90day handbook, and watch the SEO video in the resources area as these have the info that you should be going for longtail keyword terms, and I think the word Fribo(thingy) is a short term phrase as its only one word.

I wouldn't suggest going against what Marc has said with the SH autolink he'll know better tahn me how to use it. Personally I've never used it and don't intend to as I'd rather have great internal ranking for highterm keyword juice than give it to an afiliate.

The bottom bar that you have - people will tell you what they like in order to sell something - I'd ask other people in the forum to comment on this, but its of my own opinion that this will not be good for adsense TOS.

It's good you're ranking first for one of your long tail keywords, just be cautious that google sometimes 'yoyos' blog posts up and down in rankings as it loves fresh content and if there isn't anything linking to that post then it will slowly move down the rankings - it all takes time to rank for a particular keyword (that will remain well ranked for the future). Also, if you get banned from adsense then you're unlikely to get banned from google's index.

nasph,

Yeah, I understand about the long tail keywords. As of matter of fact, a lot of the long tail keywords in this niche do include the word "fibromyalgia". So I imagine it would be hard to get away from it... at least each article I have used so far has the word in it.

For example:
fibromyalgia and lumbar pain
fibromyalgia stretching exercises
vitamin d for fibromyalgia

etc..

See what I mean?

What does everyone else thing about the cbttopsites bar at the bottom of my blog? Bad mojo?

Bill,

Agree that 'fibromyalgia' does appear in many of the long-tail keyword terms, just like any other pack from plr pro and any other niche you would be working on.

What I meant was, the link should have been 'fibromyalgia stretching exercises' for example and not just 'fibromyalgia' on its own. So, using the exact word fibromyalgia isn't bad, it's just best to use it in a long-tail keyword instead.

Competitive Ads and Services
In order to prevent user confusion, we do not permit Google ads or search boxes to be published on websites that also contain other ads or services formatted to use the same layout and colors as the Google ads or search boxes on that site. Although you may sell ads directly on your site, it is your responsibility to ensure these ads cannot be confused with Google ads.

I guess that is pretty clear, huh? :-)

Guess I should change the layout and it should be ok so long as it isn't the same layout as other Google ads on the page.

Yeah I agree Bill,

Just make sure that it doesn't look similar to an adsense ad. Changing the link colour and maybe even the layout so it doesn't appear to 'copy' a banner text ad of adsense.
