Default Privacy/disclaimer pages

What do you guys do? I think it is very important to have a privacy/ disclaimer page on our website. People sue at a drop of a hat. I would like to do this -I looked for a Wordpress plugin - but it give me an error. There does not seem to be anything else on the market. Advise and thoughts appreciated.

Exclamation It's Important (I Am Not a Lawyer or Attorney)

Privacy Policy is a requirement to comply for example with AdSense Program Terms Of Service and Disclosure Policy is for FDA compliance.

If your website promotes or encourages products related to health, then adding Disclaimer or Medical Disclaimer is important as well to state that you are not a doctor and are not responsible for other people's health.

Hi Lynn.
If you look at my Bad Breath – Solutions For Bad Breath
site... I manually created some documents in the footer - Privacy Policy & Disclaimer.

Heres what I do on the home page, check the bottom of the site, that way it's on every page at the bottom;

Organic Skincare Advice and Information

Also each post you will see that at the bottom of the post itself there is a small link taking you to the disclainer/privacy page.

Here is the disclaimer/privacy page I use for all my health sites;

Organic Skincare Advice and Information » Privacy Policy

I'm not a lawyer so this is not legal advice but if you want to use the wording just do a copy and paste if you like.

Lynn I learned to do the following which was a big step forward for me in learning how to utilize word press... and upload and link to files I created.
I know it can be quite a challenge figuring things out and doing things for the first time.
First of all if you want to use my privacy policy and disclaimer you may do so.
You will need to create those documents as .html files and upload the files to the root of your word press blog. That is to public.html

You will need to name the files:
privacypolicy.html and
disclaimer.html

I placed the following codes in my footer.
<p><a title="Bad Breath Remedies" href="http://solutionsforbadbreath.com/privacypolicy.html" target="_blank"/>Privacy Policy</a> |
<a title="Bad Breath Remedy" href="http://www.solutionsforbadbreath.com/disclaimer.html" target="_blank"/>Disclaimer - Conditions For Use</a>

If you have any questions Lynn let me know, and also please let me know if you do what I have done.
It takes a bit of work to do this but will help you in the learning process of Word Press.

You don't need to have the title in the link though. Just put <a href="http://www.thenyoursitename
