Default Trouble in posting

Here is my problem, I was able to set up wp through fantastico, not to many problems, but I got it up and going,
I made one page in the wp. When I try and make a post or create a page it is not working.
the main page is working.
I tried the same article in the post and the page creator and both say it is published, but I cannot get it to come up. I get a 404 error
any help would be appreciated
John

Joshel,

I few questions:

Did you setup the blog via plrpro setup or your host?

Which host do you use?

Have you looked at your homepage url and checked that the post is actually published and published on todays date or before?

Have you tried deleting and re-installing wordpress?

I set up via host with fantastico
I use ultimate marketing for my host
I have set up one wp blog with same hosting NP

I have made one post successfully but the other is not
the url link is: Camping Tips » Camping Tips for Beginners
take a look, then try and click or open the The Importance of Making a Camping Checklist in the pages section.
as far as deleting and reinstalling, not as yet. but I am considering.

Default anything in the camping directory

Hello,
I was looking and anything in the camping directory is not showing up. Even your sitemap, disclosure, etc. It is like it does not exist. but the first one camping tips for beginners is working fine and it is the camping directory and nothing after it. what i mean is /camping works, but /camping/anything does not work. Why is that? Something is wrong, but what i guess is the answer. Why is the first one camping tips is like the camping directory. Something is up with the site structure, is what I am thinking. Is there any way to see in your cpanel. If you want to pm me the cpanel information I will take a look for you and see what I can see. If you want me to look.
Steve

Hi,

There are warnings not to use Fantastico. It does not load plugins.

I have used PLRPro Installer for my last nine installs and they went up without a hitch. I use Hostgator and Godaddy.

I have also used PLRPro Installer on a free hosting service without problems. See Mutualfundsscout.com

Yes, the Installer is picky, but once you get the hang of it, it works like a charm.

Joshel - looks to me like your permalinks aren't set up correctly, but not too sure.

Do you have an articles plugin for your pages as it seems they're in a sub-folder /articles/name-of-post.

Also, are you sure the page slug is the same as the contact and sitemap pages etc? - note with the sitemap page it isn't linking to anywhere or anything so I'd have a good look into that.

What you might be best to do is either uninstall and re-install using fantastico, or you can use the plrpro installer instead.

Joshel,

If you haven't got it then don't bother about the plugin. It's for bigger blogs that have tons of posts on - I was just checking that you didn't have it as it may cause you problems if you don't know how to use it properly.

But, you don't, so don't worry.
