Default Autoresponders Discussion

Hi Guys

perhaps we can start a discussion on autoresponders as I've not really used them before.

There are many options on the web and they all cost money.

What are your thoughts on purchasing a script and hosting the autorepsonder on your own site. I've come accross a few that look really good and you will not have to spend money each month on another service?

There are few on this site that look interesting. Has anyone tried them?

On a blog, or my salesletter???

Regards,

Neo

The problem with autoresponders you host yourself is delivery...from what I've read, aweber and the other big autoresponders are able to get through some email filters that others may not...especially one hosted on your own domain. Again, this is something I've read somewhere and may or may not be true...

The other thing you have to think about is your cost in time...it's can take a lot of time to set up an autoresponder script and get it working properly...anyone who has tried it will attest to that! Sometimes it's worth paying a few extra bucks to save your time for more productive activities...like promoting your site with your time rather than pulling your hair out trying to get a script to work properly. I actually love installing scripts and tickering around with them...but I've come to the conclusion that I simply don't have time to do that anymore...I need to "make money"! At least that's my personal situation...yours may be different...

I would recommend either aWeber or GetResponse...GetResponse is a little cheaper but I believe, just as good...

John

Default I just switched

Hello,
I just switched from getresponse to aweber. I think that I am going to like aweber more. It at present seems to be easier to use too. Yes gr is cheaper, but not by much. It seems most people use aweber, so I thought that I would give it a try. I will let you know in a few months if I really think it is better.

Default sign up form on wp blog

Could some one tell me how to install the html code for a subscription form onto a wp blog. I'm thinking of the ones that I set up using the wp installer from plrpro?

Also where is the best location for a subscriber sign up form on a blog and on a regular web site, or a sales page such as we get with this package?

thanks

Peter

Default my thoughts

for the Subscription field on the PLRPRO blog templates I would place it on the top right above the adsense code.

edit the sidebar.php and place your code above <?php adsense_deluxe_ads('rect'); ?>

I would recommend to all Aweber for your autoresponder. Yes it's 20 bucks a month but easy to use and you can use it for all you future e-book mailing lists. I would also just have the sign up box come down the page just like on plrpro.com.
