Default Camtasia Tutorial files sound Garbled and make a chipmunk like sound.

Flash files played in the the latest version of the Flash Player (v9.0.115.0 or later) sound garbled or have a high-pitched "chipmunk" sound to them.

I understand Camtasia has a fix for this problem. This fix needs to be applied on tutorial files. Why haven't you guys applied the fix.

This problem makes it hard to use your tutorials. Its very distracting.

Thanks

Default Camtasia Problem

I agree it is now very difficult to follow the excellant training videos in Camtasia format. The vision is about 15-20 seconds ahead of the speech content making it very difficult to follow which is a shame as the videos themselves are ideal and a great deal of work has been put into them

hopefully they will be fixed soon.

Yes, that is very anoying.

If you guys have the bandwidth, you can download the videos to your PC using the Download Helper Firefox plugin : DownloadHelper - Media download Firefox extension

Then you would need to apply the fix to the files on your PC to get rid of the Chipmunk sounds : Answer

Download SWFMP3Fixer.zip at the bottom of the page.

Hope this helps,
Mario

Mario,

Yes. This is also very distracting to me. So much so, that I don't think I have been able to get entirely though many of the videos. I tried your approach. The downloader downloaded a single flv file, which the fixer tool said it want SWF files, and the one I am trying to fix is FLV. Can you give me some more guidance on this?

Thanks,
Dean

Default here's the page

Mario,

The video on the following page is the one I attempted to dowload and fix:

PLRPro Ebook Service

The firefox downloader plugin grabbed a single FLV file, but that is not what the fixer program wants.

Thanks.
Dean

I forgot to mention that there's a bug in the Download Helper plugin. It sometimes uses the wrong extension for downloaded videos.

The workaround is to rename the file 'SEO_Keyword_Research.flv' to 'SEO_Keyword_Research.swf', and then run it through the SWF Fixer program.

Regards,
Mario
