Default Do we use our "own/real name" or "name that we created virtually" to post for the art

The reason why i asked this is.

Say we have ebook on ACID REFLUX. It got to do with health and we are not health expert. Why on earth the visitors want to trust us, unless we have a "Dr." in front.

What do the rest think?

If we keep submitting all the articles with our names on it, we are going to have alot of articles online referring our names for many many different niches. Is that healthy? Or is that appropriate?

What do you think?

Nicholas

I use what is called a 'pen name' not my real name. It's a standard practice used by many writers. One of the reasons it's done by many people is so there real name isn't plastered all over the internet (personal privacy concerns). I made sure the pen name I chose wasn't any real persons name.

As far as being an expert in any particular field the article is written on? Odds are you won't be an expert in it. What I do is after writing a bunch of articles and submitting them to ezinearticles your status will be upgraded to "Expert Author" but your still not an expert in 50 different fields for 50 different niches even if your writing articles for all those sites.

So what I do lend some credibility to my author resource box I put;

(My Pen Name First) is an expert author who is an avid writer in (finance, dog training, blue widgets, red widgets, recreation etc etc.). Then I add 2 links at the bottom back to my site.

By wording it this way you get to throw the word 'expert' in their even if it just reflects 'expert author' which really is just a label you earn from Ezinearticles, and it doesn't mean expert dog training/printer/bungee jumping etc. author. I use this resource box for all article directories not just Ezinearticles.

Mike

Hey Mike,

Can you possibly show us a sample of how you use pen names? Perhaps in an article??

I submit alot of articles to ezineartciles. But it's obvious that I can't be an "expert" in 50 different fields! LOL

So I am curious how I can use different pen names with these articles.

Thanks!
Kerry

Kerry - it really doesn't matter about pen names to be honest and the fact that one name appears against a load of articles in different fields relly isn't a problem. You have say 1000 articles on different topics - well chances are another few hundred thousand authors have the same.

I use 5 different pen names - just make the names up, as I do write lots of articles for my different sites. All you need to do on ezines is click the 'add author' in manage author box.

But be sure that the sig box name matches the selected author or you'll be asked to revise it - I have done this many times when I've been in a rush- :-)

hey Nick,

Ya I'm thinking of adding pen names for each ebook. I was also looking to add a forum to each book. I have blogs for each book, but I still like the idea of a forum to create a community. Lots of work to do!!!!
