| Hi Everyone, I hope someone can shed some light on important issue I have. When a customer purchases any of our ebooks and receives the related audio files (male/female); how can we protect our Audio file from theft? Lets all be honest we all to some degree have shared things with our friends. What can we do to stop people from sharing our audio files? and lossing money? I have read up about DRM (Digital Rights Management), but I am unsure of how it would apply to us here at PLR Pro ebooks. Is there an alternative? I don't like giving away money? I really love the product(s), and the quality is top notch for , so any input or thoughts are greatly appreciated. Thanks, Brian |

| I think, in practical terms, there is no way to prevent people from sharing either the mp3s of PDFs once they get their hands on them. But then I'm OK with that. Not the sharing of them, but the not being able to do much about it. I did spend some time looking at protection for eBooks that I'd produced myself, but it turned out to be more trouble than it was worth. This stuff will happen, but I honestly don't believe we need to do anything about, certainly not anything that makes it more difficult for the genuine purchaser. Just my thoughts of course... Regards, Peter. |

| Do what the successful ebook and audio sellers do. Basically nothing. A certain percentage of theft is part of doing business. How many ebooks have you purchased the last year, and how many of those have you "shared" with your friends? None? Good. Most people are like you. It's only a handful that will steal. Dewald

| A bigger problem is those who order the product, download it and then request a refund. Not much you can do about them either, except send them the refund. I usually add their IP address to my server blacklist but all that does is make me feel better about the refund. At one time I emailed a few of them, asking if they would providing me the reason they didn't like the ebook they bought so I could make improvements to it. No response. So then I tried offering them a free copy of the improved ebook if they would help by providing the reasons they did not like the ebook. No response. So I decided thieves will be thieves and it's not worth wasting time nor energy worrying about them. Ed |
