Default Price for ebook & audio files...

Quote:

The recommended sale price for the ebooks (digital and audio) is $37. This is based on tests for our own products, $37 seems to be the best, though you can also test $24.95 and $49.95 to see which performs the best.

We need to be very clear here, while we cannot control pricing, we can control the membership, so it is a condition of your membership that you keep between the $24.95 and $49.95 price point.
I'm curious about the pricing...when you say "based on tests for our own products, $37 seems to be the best" is that for the ebook with the audio included?

I can't see charging anything less then $37 for the ebook with the audio files included...I think $49 is a better price. Audio books usually sell for higher prices and I think charging anything less then $37 with the audio included is basically shooting ourselves in the foot and cheapening out product.

I had originally thought of using the audio as an upsell...maybe $29 for the ebook and then upsell them with the audio files for another $20 or something.

Maybe I'm wrong as I haven't been in the market with these yet and done any testing...I guess time will tell...

We have a quality product and I think competing amongst ourselves on price just doesn't make sense...and I can't believe someone put one of our books on the market (ebay) for $7...unbelievable...

Sincerely,
John

Default Good idea

Hello,
Yes, I can't believe it either. There is always someone who doesn't follow the rules.
Your upsell sounds like a good idea. Something to try for sure. The price is up to each individual to test and try. The hard part I think is getting the site on the engines, when someone searches for a phrase. This is going to be the tricky part.
Good luck and you have good ideas,
Steve

I would agree, upselling is a wonderful idea. I like it because it creates great value by offering an easier method to digest the information.

I believe the new rule now on ebay is that there are no digital products allowed to sell anymore. I just read one of the ebooks and it truly is an excellent ebook.
