Hi all,

I just signed up with PLRproEbooks and I'm just starting to go through the forums...
I like the idea of this step by step guide but I cannot follow the thread to the second page??? When I click to view page 2 of this thread it just takes me back to page 1.
I would like see page 2 but more importantly I would like to know if this guide or something like it has been completed and where I can check it out?

jmacleod had a great idea of starting the list...but did anyone add to it?

Thanks,
Clyde

Hey thanks for the link! Great info! Here's a thought....how about adding a forum to each ebook? ie: myebook - get it out there!

I have a forum that is non-related and is pulling in a ton of traffic. I know forums can be a great way to build a community. It's take time and effort, but can be well worth it. It cost nothing to add a forum. But it does take time and effort. I'm debating about adding a forum to each ebook myself..... Perhaps adding some related videos from youtube to these forums to get the posts going.

Any thoughts on that idea??

Cheers!

As you said its a lot of work, would you have time? How about general forums related to several books to cut down the work?

A pet forum could cover x amount of books for instance.

that's not a bad idea!! Lump all the health books into a health forum eh?
Well, like I said, it cost nothing to install a forum to one of these sites, but it does take some time and effort. Perhaps I'll take a chance on a few ebooks and create a forum with them. Time will tell...

I was going to put up a forum on a site I have thats now getting 4000 page views a day but was advised against it over at the portalfeeder forum because that would probably not be enough.

I decided against it in the end because you need some serious traffic to bring a forum to life. There is nothing worse than a dead forum!

You also have the spam problem to contend with.

On the other hand, if a forum takes off you get 1000's of on topic, unique pages created for you!

I believe that a forum is a long term project. Probably takes min 6 months to a year before it really starts to gather steam. I have a forum that gets over 1 million page view per month. Looking to expand it across Canada and hopefully get 3 to 5 million page views/month by the end of this year. But it does take some time and effort.

Like I said, the one great thing about forums is that it cost nothing in terms of captial to setup. Just some good old elbow grease (effort) and time!

With regards to spam, I'm using php BB version 3 and it has practically zero spam on it. The earlier versions were really REALLY bad for spam, but this newest version seems to be spam free so far! (knock on wood!!)
