| Hi to anyone who is experienced at this long tail keywords thing. I think I have got it in my head wrong. If I take a keyword from the list given to us in PLRpro say dog house tip training 408 searches 0 results Then this would be considered a long tail keyword, right? If I search in google just as it is written it gets 1,390,000 results If I search as exact phrase (in "" "") then it gets 1,270 results If I search it without quotes but different order it gets 1,400,000 results If I search in "" "" but different order then I get 9,420 results I know I don't have to search in google but I am trying to understand the process. Am I correct in thinking then that I must use the long tail keyword in exactly the order it was given? I had thought that I could vary the order of words when I use it as sometimes the order does not make sense. Also in the video marc said that a result of 2 could be really about 100,000 but 1,390,000 is a lot higher so is this really a good long tail keyword to use? I thought I had found some LTKW on my own but they have results of 400,000 to 800,000. Are they low enough? However if I search them with quotes then I get results of about 373. Is that how I judge? Could someone who understands this please clarify as I can't really change any articles until I have this straight? Thanks Brenda |

| Hello, Welcome to the challange. This is the way that I understand things and the way that I am doing it... Google and the other search engines are smart enough to know that if you use the words that you found in a sentence that makes sense, it will count the phrase. All of the words don't even have to be together. Use them so that they make sense. Dog house tip training. You could say " Here is a great dog house training tip to help you and your dog" or " If you are trying to train your dog to use the dog house here is a training tip". Either of these will work. That is what I think. When I am searching for the long tail phrases, I always use all in title. That is what I look for, which mean you will want to use "" around the phrase. Once you find the phrase, put it into google or yahoo and see what comes up. What and who is the competition. There may be sites that are not even main domain sites for example pets.netscape.com/story/2006/12/05/dog-house-training-tips/ - 20k - is not the same as perfectpaws.com/ - 14k - Mar 9, 2007 . You should be able to beat the first one with no problem. Perfect paws could be beat also. They dont use the term in there title tag, no H1 tags and they dont use it in there meta desc. <title>Puppy Training, Dog Training, Cat and Kitten Training and Behavior</title> <meta name="description" content="Professional advice on dog training, behavior, temperament, training and raising the family puppy, dog, kitten and cat."> <meta name="keywords" content="puppy training, dog training, cat training, crate training, house training, housetraining, biting, chewing, barking, jump ing up,digging, socialization, whining, fearful, shy, behav ior, temperament, litter box, spraying, scratching"> Look at all of those keywords. How the heck are you supposed to write a page that is focused on all of those words. It is next to impossible. Focus on 1-3 keywords per page. Thats it. Then let the search engine find those words. If you wrote the article with the long tail phrase mentioned in the beginning, a few times in the middle and then at the end of the article the search engine will know what you are talking about. So I hope that has help you. I use seo elite to do most of this research on all in title, etc. You can go to one of my sites if you are interested in seo elite. I use it for the article distribution. Oh the other thing is anything under 500,000 I will go for to beat them out. With good on page seo and linking, most sites can be beat. Steve Lighted Dog Collar |

thanks so much for clarifying how to use LTKWs. That helped. I already own SEO elite but have never really come to grips on the best ways to use it. My problems is how to come up with the LTKWs in the first place. I know I can use the PLRPro keyword search file but is that all that everyone is using? Do I take a phrase from their research and put it in the "all in title" section and run that? I did one on a basic three word keyword in "" and it gave me a list of sites with their ranking. What do I do with that? I went to one site and looked at their source code and they had a long list of keywords - none of them long tail? There were some longer phrase in their description area. I'm confused! Am I looking at these sites to get more LTKWs or what? Is the point to take what they are using and use them. If so why is the list of PLRPro reseach not to be used? I feel like I am going in circles and I haven't got the point here. Hope you can help me clarify this further. To recap, I now know how to use them I just don't know how to figure out what they should be and how SEO ELITE helps me do that. Thanks Brenda |

| Marc has just come out with a new video on how to use the long tail keyword. Give it a look, I think it will help you. All you are doing with the allintitle is looking at who is optimizing for that phrase. Just do it at google and use allintitle: and put the phase in the blank area. In the search box at google use "" and inbetween the quotes put the phrase in there and it will show you and exact match. I use the phrases from plrpro. They are good for me. Hope that help, Steve Lighted Dog Collar Arthritis Pain Relief |
