Very neat! I created an account for 2 websites (read instructions carefully if you want more than 1 site covered) and tried it right away. I have NOT tried putting it on a WordPress site yet. There are issues with WP but the HitTail site has detailed instructions and a link to appropriate page at WP site.

Nemo: have you done a WP site with this?

Richard

Yes. I just added the code to the template itself. I have several accounts open with this service and is amazing what you find in there

For codes like this, including Google Analytics, you usually insert it at the footer section just before the </body> tag.

Go to Presentation, click on Theme editor, to the right click Footer and insert the Hittail code like this:

</div>

(insert complete Hittail code here)

</body>
</html>

And then click Update File at the bottom right. That's it. Hope that helps.

Manuel

Hi Nemo,

I went to hittail.com last nite and was very impressed.

I am thinking of join this subscription, but I have some questions, and wondering if you can help me out.

#1 As you know we start off building the 90 DC with 4 sites and subsquently the next 8 sites for the next 2 mths. Can I use one account of hittail.com to paste the script onto our 12 sites.

#2 Do I need to register multiple accounts.

Thanks for listening and looking forward to hear from you.

Eddy

Hi Richard,

I just signed up hittail.com and created an account for only 1 site, how can I add the javascript code onto 2 or more sites.

Do I have to register again for a FREE service and then link them up?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks again

Eddy

Gannboy

I have been very busy and have not visited the site for weeks. Cannot remember the details, other than there were very explicit directions for multiple sites.

Hey Richard, very busy with your sites for with other things? :P

How are you guys finding "The Long Tail" as a service?

Obviously it requires that you are getting search traffic to begin with but you can see the power in helping find exactly what search terms are coming to your site and where to focus on.

Thanks
Marc

busy with both life and my sites. I visited HitTail today. I thought I had it on 2 sites, but looks like I never got the 2nd one. My site has only had about 90 searches in the last month and a half and the keywords used are too spread out to show much. Lots of them were only used once.

I'll look at my stats in more detail this weekend.

Richard
