Meta tag video....a quick question

I just saw the video about the Meta-tag description.
I went to the site http://guff.szub.net/2005/09/01/head-meta-description/ and had a look at what Marc was talking about.

Now my question is this, I currently use a meta-tag widget (http://www.g-loaded.eu/2006/01/05/ad...dpress-plugin/) in my blogs.

Is the a totally different widget altogether? Or do they do the same things?
