I am trying to follow the plan and today am supposed to check the onpage SEO factors. I understand all of these factors on a normal HTML site but am confused about them on a wordpress site. Isn't the title now the posting title? Are there meta tags in this code? Should I manually add h1 tags when I post? Manually add alt tags? If you have given this info somewhere else, please let me know.. Thanks,,,

Nothing you will need to do except post good post titles and write great content. There is one thing, but It is a minor change and I will do a video on how members that want to can do the change. But not worth bogging down on yet. Marc

Does this mean it's not necessary to add meta keywords and meta descriptions? I was going through the 90 day manual, as I just started setting up my first two sites today, and thought I should add these to my blog (simply because that's what it says in the manual). I'm wondering if the information about SEO should be changed in the manual to reflect the template we're using, simply because on the spreadsheet and in the book it specifically gives us instructions to check onpage SEO, and if we don't actually have to do it, then it's probably not necessary to include it in the manual. Hope that makes sense!! I was looking for some advice about using SEO on the template. All I have done is add meta keywords and description to the header.php file, which seemed the only place to put them...but made no sense in a way because it will occur on all the pages, and it's not ideal to have the same keywords and description appearing on every page. As I'm probably a little more experienced in setting up sites than some people on the forum, I thought it would be nice to clarify this a bit for complete newbies ![]() Cheers Fiona

Hey Fiona, Remove the meta-descriptions and meta-keywords tags you added into the header file. The meta-descriptions tag is automatically done based on your post so you dont need to worry about that. And the meta-keywords is left out. The effect it has is negligable and the amount of effort you would need to do in wordpress to make it work for each post is fairly extreme. I will look at adding a plugin that can manage it anyhow. But pretty much all on-page factors have been taken care for you right out of the box. There is one small change that can be done on each blog. I will do a video on that later. Thanks Marc

| I took it from the manual that if you were setting up your own site and not using the template provided then the SEO factors are what you would need to do. Maybe instead of taking these instructions out just add that they are for those not using the template.
