Default WP Link Directory Script

curious if anyone has located a good WP plugin to create a link directory for recip link purposes in WP.

I know I read over @ the PLRpro site Marcs idea of having a seperate blog with posts/links in it. I'd like to try and keep it simple.

Anyone see anything around?

Cheers,

ian

Hi Ian,

This isn't a WP plug-in but I had downloaded it and noticed another post asking about it but I haven't installed it yet. It's called Link Management

http://www.onlinemarketingtoday.com/...nk-management/

Free to download and seems to be a separate links/directory page similar to what Marc was talking about, I think

I'm at the reciprocal link stage and must admit so far not much success with Link Market, actually none, all requests to me, unrelated and my requests not answered. I'm not inclined to upgrade to a paying member at this stage, want to see some results first.

I have just started using a backlink builder from here
http://www.webconfs.com/backlink-builder.php

At least it is on topic and a good price, free and my time although the 'my time' could get a bit expensive later.

I would be interested if anyone has tried the Link Management and if it could be put on a directory page with WP. and what if any would be the benefits.

Ask a lot don't I? but don't ask, don't get....:-D

Carmel

Thx for the tips..I opt'd to use a custom script I have for creating link directories on sites..

I've used LinkMarket quite a bit...and I have upgraded my first 4 sites..that way I am able to close off the themes of sites I don't want to be able to link with me. over the long run you should be able to get 100-200 link swaps via Linkmarket (not all at once) and for the 25 bucks it's worth it to me to not have to keep deleting all the pending jobs I don't want to swap with.

Thanks Ian, I'll take another look at Link Market upgrade. This linking is all new to me, another learning curve.

I am using Link Management on one of my sites:
http://www.ringtones4us.com/lma/directory
It is very good and automated and you have a plenty of options in admin area to customize everything.
The only bad thing is that it adds owners links at the end of page, as you can see on my site...
I think there is a way to hack that (by editing code) but i didn't have time for that...
Actually i've just found it : there is a raw in database that needs to be edited/deleted

Hi Stefank,

I think I'll try it on one of my other sites, it's not a WP site. I'll practise on that first.

Thank you for showing me as I said this linking is a new area for me, much appreciated.

Default Stefank, did you do anything different to get LMA to work?

Stefank,

Did you have to do anything different to get the LMA to work with the wp blogs?

I have used it on other sites (html) with no problem, also it is a differnt hosting company that it works on.

I am using hostgator and I cant get it to work for nothing. If and when I get it to install, I go to the admin and it takes forever if it ever get there without erroring. then when I want to look at the directory it never comes up.

I am so tired of this. I had no problem with the other hosting company. I read something on the LMA forum about the safe mode being on that can cause a problem. Hostgator support has the ticket for that, nothing so far.

I am pulling my hair out on this one. this was one of my easy days and I thought that I would get a head and that sure has not happened.

Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated,
Steve

Hi Steve,

I know what you're going through. This part put me way behind, I have put it on the back burner for now. I can't find the post but I think Marc was going to show us something or some way to help with the link building.

Since I've had time to have a think about LMA, I wouldn't put it on any of my WP sites but rather have it as a stand alone directory, and maybe do that later, after the 90DC.

I had a trial of Backlink Submitter, it works similar to Directory Submitter, out of the same stable, you choose your topic, all your details are entered automatically. Some require reciprocal, others don't. haven't decided to purchase it yet, am waiting to see what Marc has in store.

Just wanted to let you know, you're not alone
