Default 90 Day Template doesn't render correctly in IE

When I view my site in Firefox, the adsense, recommendations buttons, tags, etc are neatly formatted on the right sidebar where they should be.

In IE (6), everything gets pushed below the posts to the the left. Please view my test site http://www.floridahouserentals.com/ and let me know if you are seeing this as well.

Has anybody noticed this issue with your sites too?

Howard

Hi Howard,

I noticed this too when my wife checked out one of my sites from her desktop pc using IE - it kinda threw me at first so I checked the site in firefox from the same pc and it was OK.

I naturally assumed it was a small issue with the CSS and IE not agreeing on something.

Then I checked the site on my laptop in IE and everything looked OK so I'm really not sure what's going on.

Anyone else have any ideas?

Mark

Hi Howard

Don't know if it will help but I checked your site on IE 7 and it worked fine.

Default Change the sidebars?

Hi Habelow,

Read a similar sort of discussion about WP on another forum (can't point you to it because it is closed).

The solution they came up with was to increase the width of the sidebars (in this case they had left and right bars) by 2 or 3 pixels each.

Might be worth a try

Cheers

Darrell

I have fixed this in the newer install.

If someone can confirm this by doing their next install and checking on the relevant browsers?

It is a small css difference.

Regards
Marc

Okay, now you guys have me paranoid...

I didn't see this request elsewhere in the forum - although I have to admin I haven't yet read EVERY SINGLE POST - but for purposes of doing a 'sanity check' on our sites, I would love to see an official DEMO SITE using this template, that I can quickly refer to while working on my sites, to make sure that my sites are showing up formatted correctly, both in IE and Firefox.

Related point: if the Big Guys are making changes to the template, as mentioned, and we have sites that are ALREADY BUILT in the installer, can we have a link to the LATEST & GREATEST template files, maybe with some kind of 'release note' so we can look at what is changed/fixed and then upload them to our sites at will??

I've posted this on another thread, but I have just used the install and the left column div showed float: left instead of float: right.

That was the only problem I had...

Sure thing

http://www.reviewcarauctions.com/blog/

Is a a fully working template.

Now keep in mind one of the columns will stray to the left until you do your first post.

As soon as you do a post. It will be normal again.

As for updates, sure thing I will do a video on how members can update their install but nothing major has really changed.

Still good to do anyhow.

Thanks
Marc

Marc,

When I view your demo site with IE6 the sidebars are pushed right down to the bottom of the page (several page scrolls down) after the posts.
The adsense one sits on the left, the other one on the right.

No such problem in Firefox.
