Default Changing the laywout of a wordpressblog

Hello,

Is it possible to change the layout of our orinigal blog. How do we add some affiliate banners to our blog. Can we create an opt-in form to get some subcribers to our mailinglist?
How can we do this?

Regards
Philippe

Hey Phillipe,

It certainly is possible, though it requires a little more knowledge of tamplate work and modifying html/php code.

What sort of experience do you have?

It is fairly easy, but its also easy to mess your template up and not be sure how to fix it :P

Regards
Marc

Hello Marc,

My experience in html/php code is at the moment not that good to make many changes. Mostly you get the code from the affilate program you joined.
I am still in the learning fase.
For a opt-in form , you also get the code from your autoresponder program you joined. The difficulty is to paste the different codes at the right place in the template, I guess.
Maybe, you guys can put me on the richt way.

Regards,
Philippe

Hey Marc,

I found some examples in the forum for what I mean :

http://www.completediabetesinformation.com/

This is a site from raj2006. In the right column you see a opt-in form to subscribe to a newsletter.

In the main body of this site :

http://www.my-jewelry-store-online.com/blog/

there is a picture of a book. When you click on that you go to the site 'amazon.com'. That site is from golfer57.

Is it the index.php file that we have to change to put the code in.
Can we import the index.php file into x-site pro or dreamweaver to make the changes?

Regards,
Philippe

As far as the book goes on the jewelry site, that is just the amazon plugin. You just drag and drop it into the word press site.
