Finding your user name and password

Okay, this is probably really obvious and I'm just missing it... and I'll be totally embarrassed when someone tells me how to do it! oh well!

Here's the deal. I was testing out putting up a site, and I finally figured out how to make that work, but once you have a site up, how do you find out your Wordpress username and password to administer it?

I tried using the the WP Nickname I input, and the contact email to find a password, but WP just tells me that's an invalid username/email combination. So what am I missing here?

Any help surely appreciated!

Okay, I got a little smarter and did a search of the forum for password stuff, and yeah, it really IS simple, isn't it? Duh!!!

I saw here:
New install But???

That to log-in the first time you just use admin as both the user name and password.

Such a simple little thing... everyone knows THAT, right? LOL! Well, okay, NOW I do!
