How to change the look of our blogs?

Hi guys,
I am wondering is it possible to change the way blogs look? Not the layout, this is perfect already, but just the colors. To make the heading green instead of blue, for example.

I suspect it is all controlled by a CSS file somwhere, but where should i look for it?

To change the theme at all, you need to go to Presentation and then click on Theme Editor. Most of the colours are controlled by the stylesheet.

Of course, unless you're good at CSS it can be hard to figure out what controls what I find a trial and error approach works!!

I have been trying to change the background colour...but it looks as if it's an image repeated over rather than a block of colour (I think).

Anyway, most of the heading colours etc. should be accessible in the stylesheet.

Yes, trial and errow seems to be the way for me too. Always. I managed to change some colors, looks a bit more unique now

Hello,

I am trying the same approach (trial & error) and have had success with the text colors, but would like to change the background color as well. So far, I cannot find the image/background.jpg file anywhere, or an input for the specific background color.

Has anyone found the files or input that controls the background color? Sure could use a little help here!

Okay,

The background image is stored in the theme folder which will be something like.

/wp-content/themes/3-column/images/background.jpg

Check that out and it "should" be the image you are looking for.

Yes, I found it when I was playing around with the site the other day. The background image appears to be a grey line, which should be easy enough to change?? I may have a play with it to see what I get!

Did you manage to change the background colour? Do we find that file through cpanel or through the admin on the blog?

Can you adjust the colour or do you have to change that jpg file for one of your own?

Basically, I'm asking if a beginner could do it?
