Default How do I wrap text around images when posting to wordpress?

I would prefer to wrap the text in my posts around any images that I include, is there a way to do this?

Thanks
Jakki

Hi Jakki

When you are creating a post, if you click on the little icon, it's green and looks a bit like a little tree, "insert/edit image"

it has "image URL" "image description" and 'alignment"

if you click on the drop down box for alignment you will see the options for inserting the image.

Make sure your cursor is where you want the image and click on which ever option you want.

HTH

I tried the various options but I still cannot get the text to wrap around an image.

Can anyone else help with this?

Thanks
Jakki

Sorry that didn't help , Jakki, if you want the image in the center of your text then the only way I know to do this is with tables and that would mean coding a table with html, I think

Positioning the image left or right will give the impression of wrapping around, but positioning in the middle leaves just one line either side as the image is positioned with the cursor.

I hope someone else can help as I would like to know if there is an easier for a non-techie like me to do it too.

try with this:
Code:
[img]image.location[/img]
just enter it in html code view where you want image to appear...
you can changed it to be aligned left or center also...
for me it's lot easier then making tables...

Thanks Stefank, that is great,

I could do a table in html but I'm painfully slow at it, have to keep looking up the book or I cheat and put one up in NVU and then copy and paste the source. Now I'm told I should learn css :-D

Your code is already in my file, so thank you very much :-D

Very simple, you will go "dah" when you see it, lol

Default Watched the video

You're right Marc....that is a "dah" moment. Super simple! Thanks for posting the video.

If anyone hasn't seen it yet check out the Challenge Material/Wordpress Set Up Material. Marc added a video for wrapping text around the image.

Here's the direct link to video:
