Hi Daniel and Marc I have installed using the WP installer and have set up 2 blogs. I noticed that the keyword meta tag defined in the blogs is always blank. How do you put in the keywords? Or keyword meta tag are not required? What I do for my other blogs are to use the another_wordpress_meta_plugin which allows me to configure the description and keyword meta tag for each post. Thanks! Lesley

I am in the same position as you Lesley. It states in the On Page SEO that Meta Tags are most important. In the pdf on page 22 it goes into a comprehensive explanation but it does not explain how this is done in the WP blogs Hope we get an answer to this as my observation is there appears to be an ever increasing number of unanswered questions in this particular forum. Cheers , Norman H

I notice that if I do a Theme Editor look at the Header template in Presentation ... I see the following line: <meta name="keywords" content="" /> When I changed content="" to content="1234test" and updated, I ended up with the following when I did a "view source" on the homepage. <title>New Identity Theft Articles</title> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" /> <meta http-equiv="Content-Language" content="en-us" /> <meta http-equiv="imagetoolbar" content="no" /> <meta name="MSSmartTagsPreventParsing" content="true" /> <meta name="keywords" content="1234test" /> If you look on the Options/Tags page, you'll find an option box (unchecked) for adding metatags to tag pages, but I'm not sure what that does. Marc and Daniel need to tell you why they set up this way. I don't know. I plan to put keywords in on my own site.

G'day , I appreciate your post wildmind. I also observed the same things. Personally your last sentence conveys what should be happening but it appears that Daniel and Marc are not looking into this forum for the past few days as there seems to be a conspicuous absence of answers to questions of late. The only answers I have received are from other members of the Challenge. Cheers , Norman H

there is a plug in which says it takes care of meta tags automatically. It is a plugin I'm not familiar with, so I'm doing a bit of studying. It's called "Head Meta Description" and it's listed among the plugins. It is activated and the proper line of code has been added in HEADER Here's the url of the write up for it. I'm not sure what's going on exactly. http://guff.szub.net/2005/09/01/head-meta-description/ I'll post more info as I untangle it or find out.

This plugin adds meta keywords, but they have to be specified as custom fields to each post here is the URL http://aint-no-soul.com/files/2006/05/metakeywords.zip HTH, Rake

G'day , Thank you for your posts - appreciated. I just received this from Daniel and Marc: "Hi Norman Thank you for registering for the 90 Day "Can't Fail" Challenge. We'd like to welcome you on board, anything we can do to help you to succeed, we will push to the limits to ensure it happens. Treat the 90 days that you set aside to follow the plan as though it were your sole focus. You will not regret them. Wealth and Abundance, Daniel Turner & Marc Lindsay " I think one of the ways in which I can be helped to succeed is by answering the question asked in this thread , and a couple of others for that matter. I have not seen any posts from D & M in this forum for a while. With absolutely no disrespect to all contributors to this thread I did not think that this would become a trial and error or guessing game - but that is how I see it at the moment. Cheers , Norman H

hey Norman I think they are very busy helping several others with their problems of installation as well as the updates on this website. So far whatever is given here is already enough for me to start. In fact using the installer I have already put up 6 sites. I have tried using the other plugin I found : another_wordpress_meta_plugin which allows me to put in the description and keyword meta tag at each post with the form there, making it very easy. Now, the killer is the rewriting of the articles... But Iam sure Daniel and Marc will reply soon! Cheers Lesley

I wrote a post but deleted it, it wasnt appropriate. I am dissapointed that suspicion would be bought into this matter at all I would have thought the effort that was being put in was evident. It is certainly no small feat. The mornings have been late (3, 4, 5 am sometimes even up until 7am) 20 to 24 hours of straight work with little rest. Why???? So we can get this up and running as smoothly as possible as quickly as possible. If you dont get an answer immediately, it is because I am answering things about installation. If it is an answer that is required to be critical of the 90 day plan, then it will be answered right away. I have been conversing and having things fixed with the script where need it, and have been reading and replying in the most important areas. Which for the moment is with installations and the installation script. As for meta-keywords. I dont include them on my blogs, the difference they make will be very minimal if anything (in any of the large search engines). Truth is the only way to do them effectively is to add them each time you do a post and I had the option of adding it. I didnt add it for a few reasons. The first one is that it conflicted with another plugin I was using for the meta-description tags. That is pulled automatically from your post which is a life saver as you dont even have to think about it and it is added. If I opted to do keywords as well then they wouldnt be automatic and would have to be added at each post. I felt this wasnt the right solution because truth be told most people would forget, or not add them as important when the description tag is very important as far as what your listing shows for its description. So I opted for the automatic description option and not adding keywords. Will it effect your blog?? No, I have many blogs up with an inferior setup to what I have provided here and they are on the first page of google for 50 million competition strong terms. Please note we are in here reading every day. Just check out the wordpress install thread you will see me posting. If I am not doing that I am getting the PLRPro site ready, these are our two priorities. Please, try to see the larger picture here, it will make things much easier on everyone. Regards Marc

Lesley, "So far whatever is given here is already enough for me to start. In fact using the installer I have already put up 6 sites." That is awesome mate and its what I love to see. You are 100% correct, there is more then enough here to push through and do exactly what needs to be done, there should be no show stopper problems as of recent. Awesome work mate and you are off to a wicked start. Keep it up. Regards Marc
