Default Underlining Anchor Text In Posts And Pages On Our Sites

I have been seeing on some sites anchor text underlined on posts and pages. Sometimes single underlines sometimes double underlined, sometimes no underline.
I wonder about the value of underlining anchor text.
Would appreciate feedback and opinions on this topic.
Also I have been trying to figure out how to do double underline and have not figured that out yet. Does anyone know the double underline method???
I know how to do a single html underline but not double.

Thanks

Joaquin

Boris how can you tell they are context link ads?
I see double underlines on a number of PLRPro members sites.

Default double underline

Most of the time the double underline is using wp affiliate pro or they can be using Kontera ads which will double underline. If you hover over the double underline you should see a content box pop up, that is the kontera ad.

Thank you Steve for making this clear to me. I thought there was some special benefit by the double underline. Such as grabbing the attention of the site visitor. Thanks
