Default Wordpress - Home Page

I've managed to upload my first site to Wordpress and configured most of the stuff illustrated in the videos. I want to upload some content and I understand that these can be either Pages or Posts. I want to upload the Home page but I can't see where to load it to... Home Page is not listed under the pages section. Or does this have to be done as a post.

Any help much appreciated!

Hi Havendel,

How it works is you post to your blog regularily as per the 90 day plan.

And each post "cycles" through the front page then ends up on its own page within your site.

So there is no traditional "home page" as it used to be called, rather a continually updated front page with your latest writings.

So yes it is as a post that you write.

Thanks
Marc

Thanks Marc! My problem is that I can't see how to get the posts I am writing onto the front (home) page. These are definitely Posts not Pages.
But they don't seem to show up on the blog.

It's Ok... I've cracked it!

I'm getting there but it's a steep learning curve.

Marc,

When I use the post function the newest message goes to the top of the page, moving the previous article down the page. I end up with a lot of articles on one long front page.

Am I doing something wrong that is causing this to happen? I used your standard set up without any problem.

Ed

Go to Options...Reading... in your Wordpress Admin and you can choose how many posts you show on each page.

Cheers
