| Hi I've been trying to install the newer version of the 90 day blog for days and have gotten various errors which I or my hosting company have been able to sort out. However, I'm now getting the following error (without the x's of course): MySQL Data Importing To Server Database connection failed due to Access denied for user 'xxxxxxx_xxxxxx'@'localhost' (using password: YES) Edit the database settings in /home/xxxx/public_html/xxxxx/bigdump.php or contact your database provider My hosting company don't know what the problem is as they don't know the software and when I looked on my server I couldn't see bigdump.php as shown above. Does anyone know how to sort this out? It's SOOOOOO frustrating. Gillian |

| Just in case anyone else gets the same problem. I finally got this sorted and it was nothing to do with the server. It was the database configuration. All my futile attempts I was using the same database name and user name, each time. I wiped the databases, deleted the user, started again etc. etc. but nothing worked. Then having been told by Robert in support that this error was a database error I did it all again this morning - this time calling the database and user different names. And, hey presto, it worked. HUGE sighs of relief. I have no idea what the problem was with the database name or user name I originally chose but something somewhere didn't like it. So, if you get the same error, wiping everything and starting again using the same names may not be enough. Save yourself hours of frustration and use new names. :-) Gillian |
