Can't Install Wp Blog

I followed the instructions but could not succesfuly upload my blog.
i get this error instead

Header image uploaded successfully.

Databse Installation Details:
Database connection failed due to Unknown MySQL server host 'Hostgator' (1)

I'm not sure what to do here.

Sorry but you did not follow the instructions correctly. The first wp setup can be a little hard but it is easy once you do it right.

First FTP into the directory you have installed WP. Delete the files in the directory.

"Database connection failed due to Unknown MySQL server host 'Hostgator' (1)"

The HOST NAME should be localhost. Not Hostgator. This is why the DB is not conecting.
