Default Discovered Why I Could Not Log In With Installer

I have just gotten started with PLRpro and decided to use the installer. I have a dedicated server and two reseller accounts at two different hosts. I found that on any of the servers I could connect to FTP with some domains and not with others. Caused me great concern because I have done numerous manual installs of Word Press. Very mysterious until I noticed a common thread.

I often use characters in my passwords such as $ & # and so forth. I discovered that if I removed those characters from my passwords and only used letters and numbers the installer works flawlessley. I have installed 6 blogs without a hitch.

I hope this may help others who are having the same issue.

Chet

Default Oneclick

Hello Oneclick,
That is very interesting. Very strange also, but the information that you provided as you say may help others. Interesting that anything other than letters, numbers will fail the install.

But good information, thanks
Steve

Default Fascinating Not Interesting

Interesting ? Maybe Fascinating is the right word for me, Steve. I am still learning the rope, this is my Day 2 of the challenge. Hopefully, I can learn many things from you and all the seniors here.

Hi Chet,

I cant get Installer to select my database. I connect to the database server OK(username and passwordOK), but if I enter by domain name in the browser, it give the cant find message. If I put blog after domain name, blog come up.

I did not use PLRpro Installer, I used an Installer at Installity.com and it set up my blog. No plug Plrpro plug-ins were installed, however.

But even though the blog is there, just entering domain name fails with cant find database.

Any ideas?

So, I am still dead in the water since December 4, 2007.

Hi Chet,

Sorry mate we have no experience with anyone else's installer other then our own.

I dont even know of, nor have I heard of the installer you are talking about?

Have you tried using the PLRPro Installer?

Regards
Marc

I have a free web hosting account with PLRPRO but I am just changing to a re-seller account with Host Gator.
I've had problems with Word Press Installer but am getting help. With my passwords I only use letter and numbers but still having challenges with installing. The reason could be because I am a new member not knowing what to do but am learning quickly from PLRPRO members, training and of course support at PLRPRO.
