Default Need help with manual install

Hi Guys,

I still can't get the installer to work, (see my post under lynn Zingel's thread). So I am going to do a manual install. I've installed loads of WP blogs so that should not be a prob

I have the plugin list, but I can't seem to info on what Theme is being used.
It good be good to get to the same starting point that the installer gives.

Can anyone point me to the info for the theme?

Many thanks

Brian

Hi Brian,

The theme installed by the installer is called "Andreas 08 3 columns"

You can find the latest version of the theme here : http://themes.wordpress.net/columns/...olumns-ver-05/

Regards,
Mario

Hello,

I am new at this nad have run into problems using the wp-installer, the ftp provides errors when attempting to connect with the host.

I am thinking of doing a manual install. Other than the plugins and theme is there anything else that I would be missing if I were to do this manually as opposed to using the wp-installer?

How does one go about changing the header of the theme?

gnomad1,

A number of us have problems with the installer and it seems to be an ongoing problem with no resolution in sight.

I seem to get the files installed on my web space, but the installer hangs and does not complete.

I carry out the rest of the install manually.

As far as I'm aware, there's no reason you can't install manually from start to finish - it just takes longer and more work on your part.

If you watch the installation videos on the site, it tells you how to do the Header change. I've changed some using the video guides and they're good.

Good luck,

Whitecliffs

Does anyone know if there is a compatability problem with the PLRPro installer and Non-Cpanel host accounts? I have a 1 and 1 account and cannot get the WP installer to work. I get "blog install complete" but when I go to the url it prompts me to install a generic Wordpress. Anyhelp would be greatly appreciated.
