Smile Manual Wordpress Installs...

If anyone needs help manually installing wordpress or upgrading from an older version of wordpress to a newer one, please make a post here and I'll see if I can help you through.

I haven't used WP-installer and I am not a fan of fantastico, so I do all my installs manually.

Having the ability to do manual installs gives you a deeper understanding, I think it is good practise for everyone to at least do one wordpress install manually.

Thanks for the offering BJSmooths

Regards
Marc

Hi,

I think I read on the forums here that by not using the wordpress installer that they have provided you are missing out on quite a few things...is that true?

Hello,
The installer has just about everything that you need, and makes life quite easy. All the plugins are in the installer.

bjsmooths...

do you have a list of plugins and settings to add to your manual installs so that your install would mirror what the wpinstaller does for you?

I may have to resort to doing manual installs...and would like to know what PLRpro recommendeds to have to for plugins and settings.
