I am getting a different error: Not Found The requested URL /bigdump.php was not found on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. Can anyone tell me why the error?

| I have the same problem. I have tried four times to install, watched the video four times, read the manual twice, checked for spaces and still get failure. This error is a new one - the others have said that they cannot access the database. __________________________________________________ __________ Not Found The requested URL /wp/user/www.yachts2u.com/bigdump.php was not found on this server. | I'm getting the same error, viz: "The requested URL /wp/user/www.perfume-help.com/bigdump.php was not found on this server." I reported it to theimalliance. Should I have done ? The directory to which I tried to install is completely empty. I am using an ISP called www.jumpline.com. Does this make any difference to the installation ? Charles Marriage |

Hi All Last night, after another failed attempt, I did a page refresh. It came up with another error "WP not installed - run installer.php" - so I did. It then provided a user name and password for a login. So I logged in and up popped the admin page - and it all looked good. So I altered the password and then viewed the site - blank page. So I added a quick post and viewed again - still a blank page. Anyone any idea what is going on? Site is www.yachts2u.com

I had the same difficulty, which I resolved today. The problem is that the directory name you have used was probably truncated by the WP install front page. So, the installation is done not to "truncateddirectoryname" but to "cateddirectoryname". In fact left truncated by 4 characters. As the installation proceeds a "truncateddirectoryname/bigdump.php" is expected and not found. Don't really understand why. What I did was to create a directory on my server with ftp which was called "xxxxperfume-help". Then I started the install which worked - went to "perfume-help" Moral: Never trust a computer !

OK - so the blank page issue turned out to be that there was no theme selected. Its usually defaulted  Pages now load! Charles - have looked at the site through ftp - no sign of bigdump.php The site is taking forever to configure. The adsense setup is too complicated.

One further problem is Google. I submitted the site for inclusion and had a response saying it was not acceptable. Reason - Page 404 (error) returns a Page 200 (success). The error page gives the site index! Anyone any clues?
