Default What is the Amazon E-Commerce ID

What is the Amazon E-commerce ID? I have a Amazon Associate ID, but I have no clue what the E-Commerce ID is or where I can find it. Anybody know please?

Thanks,
Carl

Hi Carl,

You don't have to worry about that, I think there is a default one already in the installer, I just put a few X's so that somthing is in the box. As long as you have your Associate ID, that is the main thing

Thanks,

I am passed that now (I applied for an ID)

But now I can't get the damn thing installed with the installer.

I end up with this:

It doesn't look like you've installed WP yet. Try running install.php.

Hi Carl,

What I would suggest is,
you delete the database and start over

make sure your ftp is correct
ftp.yourdomain.com
or
ftp.addondomain.com

your database, database username and password are correct.

and the blog url is

http://www.yourdomain.com/blog/

or if you are using an add-on domain

http://www.addondomain.com/blog/

The trailing slashes are important

and the /blog/ doesn't mean that the site will need to have blog at the end of the address. If you install directly to the domain public_html or for an addon domain publc_html/addondomian, your site address will be http://www.domain.com or http://www.addondomain.com

I think Marc says in the video that it it very improtant to get the ftp and the blog url right.

The other important thing is no spaces in those boxes in the installer, either before or after what you have entered. The installer is very space sensitive.

Can get frustrating but it's well worth it once you get it installed.

HTH

BTW you really don't need the ecommerce amazon ID, whoever's plugin that is, has their ID in as default and it doesn't effect your Amazon commissions in an way.

I have tried everything I can find in the forum on what to do and I always end up with the same thing. I posted what was happening in detail at this thread: http://www.ninetydaychallenge.net/fo...opic.php?t=307.

Might try again now.
Cheers,
Carl

Hi Carl,

Good idea, delete the database and start over, making sure there are no spaces before or after the entries in the installer and the ftp and blog URL are right. It can be only one little thing that will give you the errors, like not adding the trailing slash on the end of the blog URL

If you click on that "install php" you will get a WP site but you won't get all the SE optimisation and plugins that Marc has included in the PLRpro installer.

Don't worry if you get any "warnings", just scroll down to see if all has been installed.

Take care

I have tried everything and it doesnt work. I checked EVERYTHING that has been suggested in the forum and it doesn't work. If I use the install button it does get installed somewhat installed, then I just activate one of the themes in the admin area, I can then carry on to activate plugins, etc.

It is the only way I have got this to happen. I have been working on webites for a long time and this has me buffaloed. I mean I even got one of my other sites back up and running after Hostgator "updated" my server to phpsuexec server, and I had to learn how to change php_flag commands out of my .htaccess file and move them to a php.ini file (and add a bunch of new commands there as well) but I got that to work. This should be a snap, but it isn't!

At least I have the site up now.

see: http://www.weddingceremonyfavor.com/

Of course there seem to be a ton of things screwed up in the templates but I'm working on them.

Cheers,
Carl
