Default What do you do when you get a number of errors?

I know that there are numerous scenarios, but let's say that it can't find the database. You go and fix that,, do you try to reload or should you go into your server and delete the wp files first and then reload?

Let's say that you get a lot of errors and you have no idea what to do?

This is strange. I am using the same hosting.
The first upload had one error but it looks ok and I am using it.
The next upload several errors and appears to look ok,, should I use it?
The third upload, tons of errors,, no website,, start over?
I made sure I used the same data format as the first time,, it is puzzling why I would have more problems as I go on.

Any ideas?

thanks,,,,,

Hey Webtech,

Depends on the error.

Anything to do with the database you will want to clear the database and start again.

With the files there should be no need to delete them and start again.

Usually heaps and heaps of errors will come up on the page if you already have uploaded the files, so you dont need to worry so much about those.

But you will want to scroll to the bottom of the page and check the database install details.

Let me know how you go Webtech.

Thanks
Marc

Thanks for the response! You have to remember that some of use aren't as experienced as others...

When you say 'clear the database' I know how to delete the database and then create a new one...

Is that ok?

Bottom line,, if the database installs, should be good to go.

Thanks again for ALL your responses...

Yep sure thing,

Deleting the database and creating a new one is just as good

If the database installs, "usually" you are all good to go

Just check the site when you are done and it should be up and working.

Thanks
Marc
