Wordpress Installer Status

Hi Everyone,

Could someone please let me know if the wordpress installer works if you have a host gator account currently?

I see a lot of threads about it not working but it is all at least a month old. I currently have some domains on bluehost that I would like to use but the installer doesn't work for them unfortunately. Any help is appreciated.

I have host gator and have never had a problem with the installer yet.

Same here. Works fine on Hostgator.

Thanks everyone, I am going to sign up for a host gator account tonight and try the installer. I will report back with what happens.

Do you mind letting me know if you are using a shared hosting plan, dedicated server or reseller account?

Not sure if this would have any affect on the installer or not.

Hi Mark,

I'm using the Aluminum Reseller plan. The PLRPro installer should work on any of the Hostgator plans.

well I signed up for the reseller account and I got a lot further but still no success. I got all the way to the Install Blog button and it did attempt to install but lots of errors:

I also figured out how to get it to work with bluehost. I had to use the username and password from when I orginally signed up for the ftp & database login details. Any users I created (both on hostgator and bluehost) did not work; I am sure there is probably a way to get the users the correct permissions (command line?) but I couldn't get created users to work.
